UI/UX Designer
At Autoscriber, we're on a mission to eliminate clinical documentation burden by turning conversations between clinicians and patients into structured, high-quality notes. We're building intuitive products for a highly specialised domain, and great design is essential to making it work. We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer to lead the design of our entire user experience: from first impressions on our website, through onboarding and into our recording experience. You’ll be responsible for shaping every step of the journey, and making it feel effortless.

UI/UX Designer

📍 Hybrid – Cape Town or Amsterdam

What you’ll do:

  • Own the end-to-end design of all user-facing experiences, including:
    • Our website and sign-up flows
    • The Autoscriber web application and recording interface
    • Integration UI elements within EHR systems
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and clinical teams to understand user needs and turn them into clean, intuitive designs
  • Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and clickable prototypes
  • Ensure everything we ship is on-brand, accessible, and delightful to use
  • Bring clarity to complex user flows and edge cases through thoughtful UX

You’re a good fit if you:

  • Have strong experience designing end-to-end digital products in Figma (or similar)
  • Think in systems and user journeys, not just screens
  • Are confident owning both UX strategy and UI execution
  • Can balance aesthetics with usability and accessibility
  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Have a portfolio that demonstrates clean, considered, and user-focused design

Nice to have:

  • Experience designing for healthcare or highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with design for speech/audio interfaces
